The Best Halloween Pool Party

The Best Halloween Party

Is your backyard ready for your Halloween pool party? It’s going to be beautiful on Halloween this year. That means your pool can be a focal point for your party.

You can celebrate the spookiest holiday of the year with the best Halloween pool party, and we can help with the following tips for a BOO-tacular good time:

Ideas for Halloween-Themed Pool Decor

Now is the time to get creative! You don’t have to spend a bunch of money at the pool store. You may have much of what you need on hand, or you can grab some budget Halloween-themed decor!

  • If your pool is still open, add pumpkins to your pool. Yes, they can float! You can even decorate them and float them in the pool.
  • Grab some Halloween buckets – think Jack-o-Lanterns. Add some low sticks and throw them in the pool, too. It adds ambiance and some spookiness at night.
  • Get some plastic or latex gloves at the pharmacy or even dish gloves at the grocery store. Again, get out the glow sticks and put them inside for some seriously spooky ghost hands.
  • Splurge on some plastic skeletons and set them around on your pool floats. If you have a float with a back, that’s all the better. Let your skeletons lounge around the pool all night.

Ideas for Party Food and Drinks

Even though people aren’t coming to your door and leaving, you want to carry on the trick-or-treat theme. Colorful, monster and ghoul themed snacks and amazing drinks are on the menu.

Here are some ideas:

  • Mummy hot dogs – grab this recipe on our blog.
  • Spider Web Taco Dip is another of our favorite food recipes. Layer refried beans, guacamole, salsa or pico de gallo, and corn. Add some sour cream on top, but drizzle it around like a spider web. Grab a plastic spider or two and sprinkle them around! Serve with chips and veggies.
  • Serve VooDoo Punch. Mix ginger ale, lime Kool-Aid, raspberry or strawberry syrup, and Sprite. Everyone will love it. If it’s an all-adult party, you can always toss in some vodka!
  • Coffin Sugar Cookies – decorate your favorite cookies with the design of a coffin. Don’t forget to add RIP. You can also use refrigerated cookie dough if that’s easier.
  • Spider Web Cake – this one’s easy! Make your favorite chocolate cake, decorate it with white icing, and then use a black frosting tube to pipe on a spider web. Toss in another plastic spider or two!
  • Vampire Floats really make a statement. Mix vanilla ice cream with red soda, and you’ve got a spooky winner! Garnish with a stick of black licorice.
