Halloween in Your Hot Tub
Halloween is such a special time of the year. Whether you like decorating on the spooky side, or you’re into fall leaves and pumpkins, there’s a lot of fun to be had for the young and the young at heart.
In this article, we look at Halloween in your hot tub and how to “trick” out your spa. After all, what could be better than some spooky fun in your own backyard?
Get Out the Colored Lights
Lighting is the perfect way to add ambiance to your spooky decor.
Nothing says festive more than the bright pops of color illuminating your water and changing the entire atmosphere of your spa.
Simply switch out the bulbs in your hot tub with colorful variations on the traditional colors. While you can always go with Halloween orange, you can up the fun factor with purple, green, and magenta.
Use Light Strings
If you opt for a non-traditional color, consider adding some orange hanging light strings in your trees or from the ceiling or pergola over your hot tub.
You can also set up electric candles to create an ultra-spooky pathway around your hot tub. You can pick these up at any Halloween decor store.
Do be careful and keep electronics several feet away from your hot tub.
Get Creative with Orbs
Look for some glow sticks at the local dime store. Then, stick them inside black and orange balloons before you inflate them. Then, inflate the balloons and tie them off.
You now have glowing orbs to decorate with around or above your hot tub.
Hang the Spiderwebs
Nothing says spooky Halloween better than spiderwebs hanging all over your backyard.
Buy some and hang them from the ceiling – the goal is to create the lair of a spider. Hang some plastic spiders or bugs on the web to up the ick factor.
Set Up a Snack Table
Your gathering is only complete once you add the refreshments.
For the drinks, consider some glowing orange or green punch decorated with eyeball sticks. Or, serve a red drink – something only a vampire or witch would drink.
You can also look for snack ideas such as wooden sticks with peeled grapes, olives, and maraschino cherries to like eyeballs. Pinterest is a great place to search for other Halloween-themed food.
When it comes to decorating for Halloween, don’t stop inside your house. Give your backyard and your hot tub your creative touch.
Enjoy the fun of the season and create a fun, festive backyard for your guests to soak in!
