🎉It’s a Silver Anniversary for Fiesta Pool’s Maxine Hamilton

These days, it’s becoming more and more unusual to find someone who stays with your company for more than three years, let alone ten or more. That’s not the case with Maxine Hamilton, who recently celebrated her 25th anniversary with Fiesta Pools in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

A woman with a sense of humor, Mrs. Hamilton first joined the company when her husband came on board as an equipment specialist.

“It was such a small operation then,” she recalls. “I was the general receptionist, the radio operator, and the store clerk. After the first year, I wondered if I’d stay for another year. At five years, I thought the same thing, and after a while, I just stopped counting.”

Dee Cline, marketing director for Fiesta, credits Mrs. Hamilton for teaching her the ropes of the business when she first came to work for her father, who owns the store. She praises her ability to help train new employees and establish strong relationships with both new and old customers — so strong, in fact, that some customers will put off making purchases until Mrs. Hamilton returns to the store.

“I just can’t imagine Maxine not being here,” Ms. Cline said. “She’s a tease and loves to give people a hard time, but she’s a great leader.”

And what about the future? Does she plan on staying around for at least five more years?

“Being a widow now with not much to do, I figure I might as well stick around,” Mrs. Hamilton said, with a hint of a giggle. “I figure it’s better that I keep occupied than to sit at home and pry into other people’s business!”
