Don’t Close Your Pool Too Early
The kids are back in school, and you may be ready to put away the pool supplies. But in Tulsa, the calendar alone can’t tell you when to close your pool.
Warm water can still support algae growth after you cover the pool and stop circulating the water. Close too early, and you may face a green pool and extra cleanup when spring arrives. We recommend watching your pool water temperature and waiting until it stays around 65°F or below. You’ll also want to finish winterizing before freezing weather arrives.
Watch the video for a quick reminder of why timing matters. Then bring a water sample to Fiesta Pools & Spas. We can test it, help you prepare for closing, or handle the pool closing for you when the time is right.
